Dead Puppet Society Masterclass

Service Description

Visual Theatre Teacher Masterclass with Dead Puppet Society 9am - 3pm. This masterclass will break down the visual theatre tools and processes utilised in every Dead Puppet Society production, to equip artists and arts educators with practical skills to transform their own creative practice or classroom. With a focus on the making of new Australian work, “WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!” by Maddie Nixon, participants will cover Dead Puppet Society’s principles of puppet manipulation, and build short works using simple design elements and puppet creatures. Participants will be mentored through the making and staging of scenes using ensemble performance techniques, hand operated lighting, and exquisite worldbuilding tools. Each participant will also receive lesson plans and a glossary of terms and conventions.
