Vision

These programs have been developed over decades, exploring ideas about learning through the arts. To discover our own creative potential we play, inquire, experiment, collaborate, focus independently or try things that may feel challenging. The process is much more important than the outcome. To share authentic creativity with the world is a courageous act and each individual has a unique gift to offer to the creative collective. We are building a community where young artists feel safe to be themselves and grow.

We are passionate about devising new work for the stage. A part of that learning process is for kids to study, admire and be inspired by work made by others before them. Our shows are a chance for young playwrights, designers, artists and performers to share their ideas with their friends, family and community. We choose not to use well-known scripts, as these are licensed with conditions that often allow very little artistic interpretation by the children.

As our team and resources grow, we are excited to guide students in crafting their own original songs, plays, dances and designs for stage.

Communication

Feedback from students and parents is essential to creating the best possible learning programs and spaces.

Email is my preferred method of communication. All information regarding programs, fees, changes, absences or student support will be sent via email. Text or calls can be used in emergency situations of course. I am usually surfing in the morning between 5am - 8am, so will not be able to return texts at the time.

Theatre Production Commitment

Making a stage production, play or musical, large or small, requires commitment to a team. Before enrolling, please check these goals will be possible:

1. 100% attendance is the goal, unless unwell of course. As you can imagine, when an actor is away, it has an impact on the entire group. The aim is that every cast member feels as prepared and confident as possible when show times comes around.

2. There will be weekend rehearsals and performances outside class times. These cannot be missed.

3. Arrive 10 minutes early to lessons to ensure we can start as a group.

4. Term fees are to be paid in full before the start of each term. Fees cover venue hire for lessons, administration, teaching, cleaning, lesson preparation time and more. Missed lessons cannot be refunded. Discounts cannot be provided for planned or unplanned holidays or rest days.

5. Theatre productions are a two term commitment, unless specified.

6. Actors may be photographed during shows and images used for promotional purposes.

7. A non-refundable Production fee is required each production to cover costs such as sets, props, costumes, construction, making, lighting, sound, program and poster design and printing, make-up, venue hire and more.

8. We are happy to cater for a diverse range of learning styles and support each individual. Please book a time to meet in person to create an individualised support plan.
